I am in love with East vs West ever since it became a thing, however, there's still much work to be done. And even though my coding skills are -1/10, I would like to make some suggestions. Or "re-suggest" suggestions made by other people on this forum.
I'll go from (what is in my mind) the simplest things to implement, and progressively go to the somewhat harder things to do. I expect you guys to give criticism, further suggestions, explanations for why some of my wishes might not possible. Or, if you're a good person, support me by praising my (or the people I "stole" the suggestions from's) good ideas. Lol.
All of the things I will mention here are based off my experience in the EastvsWest 9 Teodosius build of the game. Which can be found here: eastvwestnews.proboards.com/thread/336/version-east-west-teodosius-final
1. First of all, I'd like to start with one of the most annoying things in the game, which is the fact that the US has almost no troops in Bavaria in the earliest start. I'd assume there'd be a lot more allied troops in Germany after the war ended.
2. I'm not a historian, but I remember Bonn being the capital of the FRG, instead of Koblenz. Unless it was different back then, please change this to Bonn.
3. An other great annoyance of mine, are the events that are in Spanish. As I don't speak a word of Spanish, I'd like to see them translated.
4. Cores of some countries are non-existent in some of the starts, which is kind of ridiculous. Why aren't we allowed to dismantle the Soviet Union in the first start?
5. One other thing that should really be fixed, are the missing localisations. Although most of the game works fine, if we exclude the crashes and long autosave times, these are the only things that make it look broken.
6. Could we please get rid of the silly invasion events? It's just silly, and I don't get why they were added in the first place. The USSR occupying a province in Colorado which I can retake in a minute, or the US suddenly taking a part of Kazakhstan without any troops is just plain useless, and is only annoying if you don't have troops around to fix the ugliness in the map.
7. More starting dates, preferably those who allow for alternate history scenarios. Perhaps we could have two just after world war 2 starts, one in which the allies decide to do Operation Unthinkable. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Unthinkable), maybe an other one set during the Cuban Missile crisis.
8. The possibility of the AI creating a world war. I've played this game for some time, but have never seen the AI starting an actual nuclear war. It'd be cool to be a part of that as one of the minor countries, IMO.

Also, I get that I might sound like an annoying kid asking for a room in a house when there's not even a house yet. But I think that if it is possible at all to fix/add these things, then that it should be done so the game, even though not finished, is still relatively playable during development. I'm sorry in advance if noobs like me annoy developers with our (perhaps impossible) wishes. But I kind of thought it was important to voice my suggestions.
