While this doesn't directly relate to EvW, it's still something that I would like to bring to the forum's attention. The devs of EvW, or at least some of them, have grouped up and have launched a new game development studio. This studio is called Strategy Mill. strategy-mill.com/This team is creating a grand strategy set in the Cold War called project ARPAnet. Exciting! Sounds like EvW to me. They've finished the planning of the game and are set to enter production in Q2 of this year. Since the project is set to heat up soon, I'd advise everyone to keep a close eye on the project and maybe even sign up on the forums. www.strategy-mill.com/phpBB3/index.php |

Player-player? No AI? That's bold, not sure about that decision. This. Multiplayer a shit, it's a shame they can't just finish EvW but Parade have the rights. To be fair, there are aspects of Cold War superpower diplomacy/brinkmanship which are very difficult to simulate satisfactorily with an AI. But multiplayer-only does limit the audience and anytime-playability. |

To be fair, there are aspects of Cold War superpower diplomacy/brinkmanship which are very difficult to get simulate satisfactorily with an AI. But multiplayer-only does limit the audience and anytime-playability. True, but this only really applies to the USSR and the US, you wouldn't see that with Switzerland and Italy. Not looking forward to this if I'm honest, I'm used to Paradox mechanics and don't think I'd be comfotable with anything else, don't think it could be as good as EvW anyway. |
