First to be clear, I admire the hard work and efforts modders have put in, I mean no intention to rush them and they can take as much time as need.
However, with Hearts of Iron been delayed to the end of Q2. This game is the most anticipated game for me right now and the last hope of entertainment that an save me out of boredness.
When do you guys think this game can actually be somewhat close to a fully functional game? Weeks, or months?

Months, I'm honestly not expecting the game to be really solid for up to a couple of years (even if a good size team forms). Mods can take a long time to develop, and this is decidedly more complex than a mod. I'm hoping for it to be essentially playable within a few months, but fixing and balancing everything who knows.

I think if we:
- Get the AI to supply its military properly and respond to rebellions. - Get production income (supply/demand curves) stabilised. - Make the faction leaders actually invite members and facilitate their easy ascension to the factions (NATO/WP).
Then it'll be a basically functional game. That could be achieved in a matter of a couple of months as warsmith17 suggests.
But there's a lot more balancing and AI work after that to make the game exceptional. The potential for EvW is enormous.

Not necessarily. AI has been freed up a little in EvW compared to Vic2. We have some room to play. AI scripts are in \EastvsWest\script.

Well, the best always come last.
I guess we would be able to play EVW and Hoi4 by then...
