So I found that this game has been picked up again and I started playing it since GSG abandoned it and I noticed something new but I cannot figure out how to stop it. And that is the US No longer being a great power. For some goddamn reason I'm going down in prestige ranking even though I have no idea why this is happening and reseaching all the techs that improve my prestige ranking. But the real ball breaker from me is going down from #1 Great Power down to 2, 3,4 ....6...10...11 which no longer makes the US a great power.
Yet i check victory conditions and I'm still ranked #1 and I'm also #1 in Politics, Industry, with my only failing score being in diplomacy. But diplomacy is due to a bug I think were i invite faction members and I hit "Yes invite them in" with a "Very Likely" chance and then nothing fucking happens even though I have 5 diplomatic points and and can afford the total cost of such. So I end up chucking more diplomatic points just to get the British, etc into NATO. The only thing is that im #6 in ground troops but thats about it. What gives and how can I fix this.

its still a very broken game basically all you can do is wait for someone to fix it eventually unless you can mod it yourself (i agree the prestige system is odd though)factions dont work though so all i can say is dont invite people to them

We should try to figure out what the calculation behind the diplomacy ranking is; what variables it takes it account.
