TEODOSIO1234, thanks for you work. I would like help you but i don´t know programming. I hope that "capteez" help us with this fantastic game. This days I have been gaming with EvW and I met a lot of bugs. In the followings lines I write some of them.
- When I play with any country and I use the AI with the Economy, when I press in Focus and I choose Special Buildings the game crash.
- I have seen that the population of Communist China in the last scenary (Gulf War) of 1991 is 0 when you start to play. In others scenaries the population in Communist China is very eleveted 1600 millions (it´s irreal). Really in 1950 and 1960 the population was 650 millions more or less. In 1980 was 1000 millions and in 1990 1150 millions of population. This numbers are approximates. It´s very important approach to the reality.
- In the first scenary (Cold War Begins) the United Kingdom has 4 nuclear bombs with one missile silo. This is a great error because the first nuclear bomb in the UK was in 1952 and it was one bomb for strategic bomber in aviation, UK never had missiles silos. In this same scenary (Cold War Beguns) USA hasn´t got any nuclear bomb when it was the only country with it.
- Other error of the game are the flags of Spain and Egypt. The Spain´s flag in the game is from 1978, the real flag between 1936 to 1978 was with the same colors but with one eagle in the shield. And the Egypt´s flag was the green flag before 1958, then the flag was the actual tricolor with differents shields.
These are any bugs that I met but for my the most important bug was the change in the percentage of Daily Income when you save the game (overcoat with the USSR). Yes, they are difficults to solve, but I think that I had to write it.
Thanks

Fort the 1945 scenario the problem is the population in Xibei San Ma and Manchuria I think. Nationalist China has a reasonable population (500 millions), Communist China a bit too much, but Xibei San Ma has the same of Nationalist China. This lead to a total population that is greater than today's China.

Hey guys,
I just tried to start the game again today and got the same result as I was getting before I moved it to program files (86); three loading screens followed by the game minimizing. (Note that I would always select the Complete Edition). If I tried to go back, I'd get a black screen with a moving Hearts of Iron cursor for a few seconds, then it would minimize again. I tried it multiple times, then downloaded the new version, with the same result.I moved it back to Program Files (86), and just into C, tried all three of the launchers, and even tried to launch it with FTM by selecting default instead of complete edition, to no avail. I've exhausted all options I can think of now, and it's odd because I fixed this exact problem by moving it into program files, and now it doesn't work. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello there, Teodosius. First of all thanks a lot for your work, it's really fantastic someone still works on EvW. Secondly, don't you need some help to handle all that? I've already left an answer in the thread specified here, but as long as I got no answer, I'd like to offer my help again. Though I'm not a master in the mod-making, still I worked for a while with Paradox game, so that I believe my skills could provide a certain use. What say you?

good job it looks awesome , BTW i know alot of programing like c++ , c# , php , java , and a bit of assembly i was cracking games with assembly using disassemblers so if you want help i am still here Great, I encourage that you can take that aspect of the game that you can solve and give him angrier go up here and get together on upgrades. I am not currently working on it, but if I catch an error or it will upload solutions. We work with freedom and equality among all for the same purpose, which is to enjoy this magnificent game. Greetings. How long would it take to port this kind of game to a "free to use" engine like Unity, Unreal or Source? There are many ressources that can be used to do something like this... I'm just curious.

I'm just curious. Since we don't possess the source code, you'd have to start from scratch and go through step-by-step re-creating this game in the selected engine. It would take a very long time, probably a few years, to re-write the complex code for things like the economy and combat (I would think. I could be very wrong.)

Ive been working on a project in the Unreal Engine mimicing East Vs West because the HOI3 engine sucks, and while i love WW2, nobody seems to want to make a Cold War type HOI game. Engines now a days are becoming more sophisticated and such like the Unreal Engine, im doing it all in Blueprints (Visual scripting) rather than coding in C++.

lol, I know the feeling. If you're serious about it I'd recommend making your own forum to attract some support. This one is filled with spam since the admins are long gone.
Also, I'd be happy to help you out with events and history on your project. Not much coding experience though.

I have added a couple of improvements in new version 3.3 EastvswestTeodosius: mega.nz/#!3R1zhZgL!J8F5K-qUY2xyEqns8WUbfKL6xlvXPNdPHpwA3krLNw8Now the names of the countries against which a umbargo or a war is imposed by the Warsaw Pact and NATO declares, appear in the messages of the events. I have just fixed a careless error in a line of programming made by me. Now poor countries can generate guerrillas against the possibility of invasion of the rich and powerful countries. Regards.
